Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful New Years weekend....can you believe it, 2012....WOW time sure does fly. The good news is that we are about to start another exciting car show season, I'm really interested to see what this year will bring.
Well let's dive right in with with a show that should have something for everybody. The 37th Anniversary of the Air Show at Cable Airport, 1749 W 13th Street, Upland. Gates open at 8am, the Air Show will be between 10-11:45am to 2-3:45pm, a Classic Car Show Drive By at 12:30 and a Skydiving Extravaganza at 2pm. Pricing for this event is Adults $7, Kids 5-12 $5, and Kids under 5 FREE, parking is also FREE.
I would like to give you a "save-the-date" event also, on Sunday Jan 29th the La Quinta Chamber of Commerce is holding their 6th Annual Hot Rod and Custom Car Show at the La Quinta Community Park, 77865 Avenida Montezuma. The show starts at 11am and will feature music, food, drinks and vendor exhibitions, La Quinta is just East of Palm Springs. And don't forget the weekend of Jan 28th & 29th is one of the biggest events of the year, the 7th Annual Grand Daddy "Drive-In" at the Grand National Roadster Show at the Pomona Fairplex.
And for all of you who like your to see cars in motion, DRAG RACING RETURNS!!! At the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale this coming Thursday Jan 5th the Drags are back at it every Thursday Night 5-10pm. Unless its a holiday or its raining its race day every Thursday at the Dragstrip!! $20 to race your own car or $10 to watch them go.
